For this example, I played Soulo Mute in the "open" position and didn't hold back. This allows a slight edge to come through, as most recordings of the Arutunian are with a cup mute.

For this example, I overdubbed 4 trumpet parts to show how the mute can be used in a section. "Lil' Darlin" is well known for it's "hat" or closed-tone sound throughout the piece.
